These scaffolds are designed and manufactured according to the dimensions, geometry and mechanical properties required by each patient. 3D printing technologies not only enable the personalization of implantable devices with respect to patient-specific anatomy, pathology and biomechanical properties but they also provide new opportunities in related areas such as surgical education, minimally invasive diagnosis, medical research and disease models.<\/p><p>3Dbioprinting is a process of making 3 dimensional objects from a digital file. Precise data acquisition for the accurate production of personalized scaffolds is done using CT or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) image datasets. Scaffolds are produced based on computer-aided design\/ computer-aided manufacturing (CAD\/CAM).
